Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak Finally Steps Down!

Hosni mubarak resigns

Mubarak Steps Down:

Further to the article published earlier, Hosni Mubarak, Egyptian President, has actually resigned and has handed his power to the military.

Though it was beginning to look like an impossibility, Tahrir Square is now the scene of joy, cheering, hugging and flag-waving instead of the violence, protests, anger and shouting that was common-place in the last 18 days.

"In the name of God the merciful, the compassionate, citizens, during these very difficult circumstances Egypt is going through, President Hosni Mubarak has decided to step down from the office of president of the republic and has charged the high council of the armed forces to administer the affairs of the country," said Vice President Omar Suleiman.
