Enrico Ponzo, a New England mobster wanted for the 1989 attempted murder of Frank Salemme, was arrested in 1994 on charges relating to drugs, but disappeared soon after.
Gone for over 10 years, "Jay Shaw" as he was known to his Idahoan neighbors, was finally located in a rural Idaho farming community, raising cattle. 42 year old Ponzo was finally charged with the attempted murder of Salemme and on Wednesday was in federal court.
