Further information regarding the suicide of Angelo Reyes:
Dr. Clarita Carlos said that former Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Angelo Reyes' suicide was an "honorable way out." She referenced "hari-kari", an ancient Japanese warriors' committing ritual suicide, when honor or dignity was lost.
"It's the honorable way out, a combination of loss of hope, loss of self esteem, the shame factor," added Carlos.
Carlos, who had worked with Reyes at the Department of National Defense in 200, described him as “intelligent” and “very sharp-minded.”
