Allentown, Pennsylvania Was the Scene of a Fiery Natural Gas Explosion

Natural gas is the likely culprit is an explosion that occurred in Allentown, Pennsylvania around 11pm Wednesday night, killing at the very least three people and destroying several house. Three more people were missing and at least eight were treated for lesser injuries.

Hundreds of people were evacuated from nearby residences and the gas lines were shut off around 3:45am.

Cold, freezing temperatures were hampering the firefighters efforts, icing up trees and power lines when they tried to extinguish the flames.
